Steel Scene

Steel Scene is a virtual reality display created in collaboration with Amanda Stojanov. We intended to give viewers an experience within the virtual world that interpreted the incorrigible industrial landscape of the Port of Los Angeles. We wanted to illustrate the contrast of an individual’s perspective with the reality of being surrounded by an expansive body of water and an endless sea of steel. To exist within Steel Scene is to invoke feelings of mortality and complete obsoletion beneath behemoths of steel.

This experience was displayed at several installations throughout Los Angeles such as The Other Art Faire and Femmebit in 2019.
